I recently shared with you on Instagram about how I have learned so much from this new journey and WOAH! I am so excited that I decided to try something new and make the switch!
Let’s start here,
In 2008 I started out using blogger.com as my website host, when photography was a hobby and I just wanted to take pictures of all the things. It served it’s purpose. 🙂 I loved that it was free (not sure if it still is) and allowed me to showcase my photography work effortlessly! I’m sure a lot has changed since 2008 so I bet it has some cool new features!
Fast forward to a time when photography switched from being just a hobby to a thriving business. This meant that I needed a website that was easy to navigate and maintain. WordPress was one of the first that I tried but as someone who was new to the blogging and photography world it was a lot for me! I then found squarespace which I loved, and still do love! It has been my go-to for more than a decade. There are many things that I love about squarespace.
It is all that I hoped it would be and I’m so glad that I made the switch. My main reason is the ability to have more creative control over building my website. Believe it or not website building is fun, to me! Time consuming, but fun! For more than a month I have been deeply invested in building my website into an easy to navigate format that reflects me and my business.
I am so happy to welcome you to my new website! I hope you stay for a little while, take a look around, sign up for my newsletter so that you can be notified each time I post a new blog! I’m so glad you’re here!
