Brian,

Today you’re officially 35! It feels like yesterday that you told me you wanted pork chops with cornbread, mac&cheese, and mashed potatoes for your birthday dinner. The first birthday of yours that we celebrated together.

You drove almost 6 hours to good ol’ Plainview Texas to spend your birthday with me. We were standing in my living room, you were holding your cake (that was still in the pan that I baked it in), that read ‘happy birthday baby’ in your favorite color icing with the number 30 candles on it.

You’ve never been an “all eyes on me” kind of guy (I love this about you) but you allowed me to take pictures (still do) you knew it would make my photographer heart happy (thank you).

That is who you are, a genuine, caring guy who loves to have fun! I love the way you love your people. I admire the value you bring to the lives of everyone who is blessed to know you but most importantly the loyalty you show through your actions to your friends, family, and me.

I love watching sports with you, it’s never been my thing but with you, it’s so much fun!

I love our many adventures and that we get to travel together! Something we both love!

I love that you are not afraid to take on hard challenges, like doing the hard stuff in our home, hanging shelves, taking out the trash, getting the mail, caring for our yard, the maintenance on our vehicles, or being patient with me and all my feelings, but most importantly managing those everyday tasks that I’m not going to list here but you know, we know, no one else sees the really hard stuff that you do for us like planning for our future and carrying the weight of making sure that your family (us), is well taken care of.

You have this passion for learning new things and I love watching you learn and grow! You are a great leader that stands up for what is right no matter what and I love that.

I love getting to watch you from a distance, then point and say, “That’s my husband”. You make me proud.

I feel so blessed and grateful to be sharing this life with you.

I want you to know that I think you are the BEST GUY IN THE WORLD! Thank you for being my rock, and my constant reminder that God is good, and faithfully keeps his promises.

He had us planned all along. Back in 2010, at those apartments in Plainview Tx, we had no clue, but He did. 🙂 He’s just so good like that. He continues to gracefully carry us through each season showing us mercy and giving lots of grace. Thank you for sharing your life with me and making things fun for us. You help me to see that with Jesus and laughter we can get through anything together. I hope you have the best day ever! You deserve this day and all the joy and happiness! I’m so ready to celebrate with you! Here’s to many more!

Love you!
