Homegrown Plants Farmersville Texas

Homegrown Plants in Farmersville, Texas is the BEST! We visited for the first time last year after celebrating our one year home-buying anniversary. It was time to update our flower garden, and we honestly didn’t know where to start. We’ve drove past HGP multiple times, and finally decided to pop in for a visit. There’s a huge variety of plant options, ceramic pots, and the staff were cheerful and helpful. Our experience with this garden center has always been warm and inviting. I love stopping by just to take pictures of the plants. We definitely recommend HGP if you’re in the area.

This year we planted: 3 Guacamole Hostas, 2 Hibiscus, 5 color bowl plants, and 3 tree shrubs. The tree shrubs smell really good! The aroma reminds me of a spa for some reason, it’s nice. The orange plants are Impatiens, and I think the name is funny because sometimes I can be impatient. For me, it’s a funny way of reminding me to slow down when I look at our garden.

The purple golf ball-like blooms are Gomphrenas. I like to refer to them as Pom Pom plants, because they remind me of cheerleading Pom Pom’s! They’re my favorite out of the bunch. They also remind me of the plants from the movie, Horton Hears a Who! It’s a cute movie, and you should totally watch, it if you haven’t already.

I think the Impatiens and Gomphrenas pair well together, color wise. We’re learning that the Hostas grow fast and big. TikTok taught me that you can divide them, and replant them elsewhere to help with overgrowth. I personally think, the more the merrier, because they’re so CUTE! 🙂 I’m proud of us. Learning new skills is always fun. We love how our flower garden turned out.

We especially love the beautiful flowers that grow on the Hibiscus plant, they’re bright, colorful, and pretty! I think I’ll cut a few of the pretty flowers soon, and put them in a vase! Documenting our special moments in a unique way is a hobby of mine. I love sharing about my journey with ya’ll, and I hope you enjoy this post. Keep scrolling to see some of my favorite pictures.
