Engagement Session in Austin, TX
Imagine you’re just a kid, hanging out at fun family functions with friends of your parents, having a good time, not fully knowing that you’ve met the love of your life. That’s how Brandee and Taylor’s story began. Their parent’s friendship is what led to their meeting. You’ll want to keep scrolling to the end of this post to see a cute photo of them together as kids, and being their fun-adventurous loving selves.
Fast forward from that moment up to about two years ago when Brandee decided to “slide into Taylor’s DMs.” Taylor loves telling people that Brandee slid into his DM’s. It’s a cute, funny part of their sweet story. Brandee heard from her Dad that Taylor had moved to Austin, and the two decided to meet for their first date in Austin (Austin, Texas). Now they’re ENGAGED!! Taylor planned a romantic proposal at the beautiful Dallas Arboretum on 10/22/22. Fall is Brandee’s favorite time of the year. They love the Fall weather, and colors, making this the perfect location for their sweet proposal. Well done, Taylor!
Brandee and Taylor are a fun couple. I especially love how they embrace fun, spontaneous things together, like deciding to get matching tattoos one day while exercising. They even got another one after their engagement session in Austin!! They’re laid-back and are SO easy to work with. From emailing back and forth to meeting via Zoom, it was nice to meet them in person. We are a great fit. It’s nice getting to work with couples that trust us, and this is especially true with Brandee and Taylor.
Downtown Dallas Engagement Pictures
We photographed the first part of their engagement photo shoot in downtown Dallas. It was fitting that we travel to downtown Austin for the second part. SOCO (South Congress) engagement sessions are my new favorite. There are hidden gems on every corner. We would LOVE to visit again!! Reminiscing on memories that Taylor and Brandee share while talking wedding plans, and walking the historic streets of downtown Austin, where it started for them was a perfect way to finish their photo shoot.
They will have an intimate wedding ceremony and reception at The Black Oak in Sulphur Springs, TX. I love how their photos turned out. I’m excited to capture them later this year on their wedding day! Enjoy a few of our favorites from their shoot in downtown Austin/Dallas, TX!
Brandee and Taylor, thank you for trusting me to photograph this beautiful moment!
thanks for reading,
-Charity
