We realized the morning of their session that it wasn’t going to happen on the scheduled date because of the rain. Emily and I were messaging back and forth trying to decide what would be best and if the rain were to stop should we go ahead or wait until the next day?! Emily was positive and had a great attitude about it all. We decided to reschedule their shoot for the next day and it was the BEST decision! I’m so proud of these two for being flexible and trusting the process!
Chase proposed to Emily in Colorado surrounded by family. Chase and Emily met in high school. Emily reached out to me in mid-November and just from briefly messaging her back and forth leading up to their session I could tell she was kind and gentle. I was looking forward to meeting them both!
Their shoot was at The Black Oak in Sulphur Springs. Emily and Chase will be getting married at the venue next year in November. This venue feels like home to them. I loved knowing this because I co-hosted a styled shoot at the venue a while back so I was familiar with the location and felt comfortable shooting there. Chase’s easygoing personality is warm and inviting and it helped us all relax. It’s easy to see how these two are a perfect match. One of my favorite moments from our time together was watching them laugh and genuinely have fun together! It was an honor to have the privilege to capture this special moment in their lives. Enjoy a few of my favorite pictures from their engagement shoot!
